Honestly, it depends on the child, but as a general rule, sooner is better than later.
If they start using a plan to revise from the start of the course, it'll mean they can make notes as they go, and spread the work out over the year(s).
It makes it far more manageable that way.
If you're past that point already, then the best time to start using a revision plan is... now.
The sooner they start, the less overwhelming it will feel to them.
Students often get stressed out when they feel like they have too much to cover, in too little time.
Little and often is the best approach.
